WRITING WORKSHOP
1- I am of the oppinion that children learn faster than adults because, they have not completed thier "critical period" to learn a second language so, they produce more neurons than adults and, it is easier for them to other languages. This is supported by anibal puentes in his book " the origins of the language" when he compares the language learning process in humans and animals
2- In my opinion learning listening is one of the most difficult skill when learning a foreign language because, it is a skill that develops overtime and, the variety of acents and types of english difficults even more the develop of this hability.This is supported by Jeremy Harmer in his book "How to teach english" when he explaining how and why to teach listening.
3-I am of the opinion that when teaching english,it is important to explain explicitly gramatical rules because, the students need to know that when writing also if you want to be a really good teacher you must teach not only the practical use to of the language but, the gramatical rules to write it too. To ilustrate that a recently survey shows that most of the non-native speakers out of UK do not know how to write the englis properly.
4- I am of the opinion that when teaching english, the l1 (spanish) should not be used at all because,if you want learn a new language you need to practice to improve your habilities in that language.Although, you cannot expect to learn a diferent languange without using it. To confirm thit there is a fact that says that when you are learning a foreign language you must use it in the classroom for you to improve the speaking hability and for solve doubts
